Frequently asked questions

Is this a full citation style (CSL) engine?

No. Citation Pack uses good-enough student templates for APA, US Works Cited (MLA-ish), and GB Harvard. It is not Zotero, EndNote, or a complete CSL processor. Always check your instructor or publisher guide for edge cases.

Where is my bibliography stored?

Drafts are saved in this browser’s localStorage only. Nothing is uploaded to a server. Clearing site data or using another device will not show the same drafts.

What is the difference between APA, US Works Cited, and GB Harvard here?

APA uses author–date references (Author, A. A. (Year). Title. Publisher.). US Works Cited follows a simplified MLA-style hanging-indent list. GB Harvard uses author–date cues with a UK-oriented reference list. Switch the style toggle to reformat the live preview.

Can I export or import my bibliography as JSON?

Yes. Use Export JSON to download the current draft (style + works). Import JSON restores a backup after validation; invalid files show an error and do not wipe your list.

Can I print or copy the bibliography?

Yes. Use Copy bibliography to place the formatted list on the clipboard, or Print / Save PDF. Print CSS hides the form chrome and keeps the serif preview list.

Is workscitedmaker.com the final domain?

Canonical URLs use the locked apex workscitedmaker.com.

Do DOI and URL fields change the citation?

Yes. When you enter a DOI and/or URL, APA, US Works Cited, and GB Harvard templates append them (APA prefers https://doi.org/… when a DOI is present). Leave both blank for print-only sources.

Can I build Chicago-style notes here?
